How to reach Schönau a. Königssee, the holiday paradise in the south-eastern part of Germany?

By car

By car you can reach us from north, west or east by drivingon the federal motorway A8 Munich - Salzburg, taking the gateway Bad Reichenhall, following the main road B20 as far as Königssee.

Coming from southern direction using the Tauernmotorway, you have to take the gateway Salzburg South, then you've to drive on the B535 federal road to Berchtesgaden and follow the B20 towards Königssee.

By train

From the north-west you take the ICE from Dortmund, Essen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Mannheim, Stuttgart passing through Munich to Berchtesgaden.

From Northern Germany you take the ICE from Hamburg/Altona, Bremen, Hanover, Göttingen, Kassel, Fulda, Würzburg passing through Munich to Berchtesgaden.

From Berlin (central station) you take the ICE across Berlin/Schönfeld, Berlin/Zoo, Leipzig passing through Munich to Berchtesgaden.

By plane

Twice a day to Salzburg (25km) from Frankfurt (Main), Amsterdam, Paris and Zurich, once a day from Berlin, Dresden and Düsseldorf. Ask your tourist office for favourable connections.
