Summertime

For keeping patience, beeing quite and a little fortunate, the one, who's able to see, is opened pure nature around Mt. Jenner. The most interesting hiking trails, that lead from or to the top- and middle station, touch or cross the national park of Berchtesgaden. In the widest and oldest nature reserve of the German Alps the almost lost kings of the high mountains, the golden eagle and the ibex, have found a home and refuge. Here birch hen and wood grouse, arctic hare and groundhog, deer and chamois are at home.

At the edge of the hiking trails edelweiss and gentian grow. In midsummer the alpine rose colours the mountainsides red. The protected area of the national park covers 210 km². Its nature is left to its own ressource. So a hundreds of blooming plants settled, which are of an extraordinary rarity. Between an altitude of 600 and 2700 meters, the national park demonstrates all levels of vegetation of alpine habitat.

The administration of the national park - in cooperation with the tourist office and the Jenner-ropeway - offers a manifold program of natural-study guided tours, that deepen the seen and experienced, reveille understanding for the conservation of our natural basics and the coherences of the sensitive, alpine biocoenosis.

Winter Sports

Royal skiing pleasure on Mt. Jenner, the mount for professionals and those, who want to be, it's an experience of a special kind. Among ski- and snowboard-fans the challenging ski-runs of the Jenner-ski-arena, that offers enough snow and sun even into spring, are considered as insiders' tip. Float with the roller coaster to a 1800 meters and drive on trimmed pistes or hangs full of powder snow 5.5 km down to the valley - phantasmagoric.

So it is for beginners: in Jenner's ski school you learn everything you need from plough-skiing to parallel driving, to manage the ski run from the mountain top in attendance of your skiing instructor at the end of the ski-training course - a royal moment!

Germany's highest restaurant cares for treats in the mountain station, and non-skiers can enjoy the one-time view to the snowy, majestic panorama of the Berchtesgadener Alps from the sun-decks.
