Grassl's gentian was distilled for the first time in Berchtesgaden in 1602. For being the eldest gentian-distillery and producer of more than 20 "mountain specialities", Grassl's enjoys a high credit beyond the regional borders.

About 100.000 interested people a year visit the company in Berchtesgaden/Unterau.

The guidance through the distillery is for free and contains:

· a personal explanation of the distiller by the foreman
· exhibition of historic distillery tools
· documentary about gentian-distilling
· an enormous amount of tastes
· purchasing our delicacy

We would like to welcome you in our newly-arranged tourist center and guarantee a personal and humourous guidance through Grassl's gentian-distillery. Reservations for 10 persons are advantageous.

November to April: Mo.-Fr. Saturday	08.00 - 17.00 o'clock 08.30 - 12.00 o'clock

For groups of 20 members (or more) the last sightseeing starts an hour before closing.
