Königssee National Park

National Park Berchtesgaden

Untouched nature is a source of tranquillity and recuperation. We have respected nature for a long time and, for us, green tourism is not just a short-lived fashion.

The Berchtesgaden national park can bear witness to our endeavors: nature here has retained its original beauty. For generations the flora and fauna of this area has been left alone and stand as a present-day example of the Garden of Eden. Rare and endangered species of animals can be observed here: eagle's spread their wings, chamois leap on rocky heights, deer and stag roam the forest.

Protected flowers such as edelweiss and gentian, herbs and many types of moss are native to the area and a joy for the hiker.

Königssee National Park

Schönau a. Königssee is the gate to the Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany's only alpine nature reserve. Hikers find a visit to the Berchtesgaden National Park just as educational as the researchers who come to this natural oasis in order to study the origin of many natural phenomena. Both recreation and education are possible side-by-side in this unspoiled wilderness.

You can discover the hidden and most beautiful areas of the National Park on its 180 km of marked walking trails. Here you can leave the noise and stress of everyday life far behind and draw new creative energy from the untouched living landscapes of the National Park. Just here life has remained the same for thousands of years.
