Fishing near Königssee

The "Königsseer Ache" is a very popular area for fishermen. Fishing is possible from mid of April to end of September. The river is divided in three different parts and each of them has its own attraction. Unfortunately fishing in the Königssee is not allowed because the lake is part of the national park Berchtesgaden.

Conditions for fishing

People who don't have their domicile in Germany need for fishing a german license ( € 22,50)

• passport picture is necessary
• office hours (house of guests, 1. floor, room 105) only from Monday to Friday from 08:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Thursday from 01:30 p.m. to 06:00 p.m.

The dayticket for each of the fishing parts you get in the Tourist-Information of Schönau am Königssee (opening hours: MON - FRI 08:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., SAT 08:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. and SUN 09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.)
